Homework 27/09/12

For those who were not in class last Thursday, the homework for next class is:

1- From page 99, exercises 7A and 9A.
2- From page 102, teacher recommended that we do exercise 6A, but we should do the whole page.
3- From page 143, exercises of point 8.3.
4- From workbook, we should do the whole unit 8 (pages 5 to 9).
5- We have to see several times (as much as we can) the James May's video ("Big city, bright lights" or something like that; you can see it in a post below), and the audio about the man who killed other for accident. About the video we have to select one or two minutes of video and prepare to orally comment it.

Good luck!

Common Suffixes in English

(Fuente: http://grammar.about.com)

A suffix is a letter or a group of letters attached to the end of a word to form a new word or to alter the grammatical function of the original word. For example, the verb read can be made into the noun reader by adding the suffix -er; read can be made into the adjective readable by adding the suffix -able.

Sunday 16 September 2012

Hi classmates! That is the first post on our blog, so my idea is try to explain how does it work:

In order to have access to the blog, you must be the autor or an administrator, so I thought that the easier way to do that would be make all of us autors. For that, I created an account at Gmail, whose password we all will know, so anyone of us will be able to sign in on the blog and post his/her material.
All you have to do is go to the blog's URL (http://juevesenelcui.blogspot.com.ar), go to the upper right corner ("Acceder"), and sign in with our Gmail account and password. Then, if you want to share some material with the other members, you can make a click on "Nueva entrada" and create your post.

The videos from Youtube can be pasted directly on the post, with the button "Insertar un video" from the tool bar.

Please note that posts will be appearing in chronologic order, with the latest on top, so every time you visit the blog, do not forget scroll down to see what news have had since your last view.

Another problems, we will go solving on the walk.

To start training, a little video which is aswell on the CUI's blog:
